How long have you worked at Cake? Years… I think 4 of them
Who is your style icon? Camille Cherriere, Nadia Fairfax and most recently (I swear I hate this term but) my ‘girl crush’ Kate Foley! Kate captures all the limitless creativity of the fashion world, fearlessly mixing and matching trends that most of us would never dream of putting together... and she pulls it off effortlessly. Regardless, I always aim for minimal, creative and effortless with an element of elegance. I can’t be tied down to one specific style.
What is your favorite season for buying clothing? Fall… It’s about leaving buttons undone and shirts untucked. Fall is when you should be layering your favorite piece over your second- and third-favorite pieces, then acting as if it was all by accident!
What are a few of your favorite brands? ALC, 10 Crosby Derek Lam, Rag & Bone, T by Alexander Wang, Vince and Citizens of Humanity… Hmm looks like the perfect lineup of wardrobe basic essentials and with a little extra punch of flare (if I do say so myself!).
What item is your “must have” for this season & how would you style it? Easy, the See By Chloe Slide! They style easily with everything in your closet: denim, skirts and jumpsuits alike are en trend when finished with a simple slide.
Fortunately, slides are both in vogue and kind to the wallet, meaning that the comfort junkie that I am can afford to indulge, regardless of how many pairs are already lined up in the hallway (Rudy/roomie if you’re reading this keep calm and slide on). And now that we’re in that transition between ski season and running season its time for me to rekindle this battered relationship with my toes. They demand flats, they want them now, or else…
When you aren’t in the store what can you be found doing? I tend to head to the mountains for a little soul recharge, usually a trail run or mountain bike ride. My body and mind crave this time and luckily Park City has an incredible network of trails and views that let me breathe deep even in the busiest of days.
Other than getting outside, I tend to lounge around with my sweet kitty Rose. She is a rascal of a cat and we love to cuddle, hunt birds (never actually catch one) and terrorize her K9 friends.
